Vocals, Mandolin, Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica, Percussion
I've been a music lover my whole life. As a kid, I'd ride my bike around for hours while listening to American Top 40 on my big radio headset. I enjoy most genres and decades of music, from the big band sounds of the 40's to today's singer songwriters, but I really enjoy folk music. I love acoustic arrangements and performances where the nuances of the vocal harmonies and instruments can be heard and appreciated. While I've loved music my whole life, only later in life did I take up musical instruments, starting with guitar and then moving to mandolin and a little percussion. It has opened up a whole new world of musical enjoyment.
I've been privileged to play with a number of great local musicians in the community and have played in bands to include "Not Half Bad", a pick up band that plays mostly 60's hits, "SonRise", Grace United Methodist Church's praise band that is about to release its first CD, and now "The Front Porch Rockers". I've admired the talent of the guys in FPR, both individually and collectively, for some time and I'm excited to be performing with them.
I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge my family and friends who support and encourage me as I continue to develop musically.
